An ancient tradition in Zuni cosmology are carved fetish creatures signifying powers and qualities that might aid the owner. In our collection, Zuni artist Robert Weahkee creates animals from shed deer antlers.

This is a rabbit with turquoise inlaid eyes and a peridot, aquamarine, amethyst and rose quartz necklace. For the Zuni, rabbit is a playful Trickster. Representing the world of illusion and double meanings, "crazy" wisdom, and irony.
