Philander Begay is a Navajo Diné artisan known worldwide for his one shot tufa stone cast pieces in silver and gold. Master silversmith Darryl Dean Begay helped teach him tufa-casting fundamentals. His work draws significant inspiration from iconic Navajo symbols, including Spider Woman, dragonflies, waterbirds and horned toads. His tufa-cast jewelry has earned him recognition and awards.
