The prestigious brand Guiot de Bourg was founded in 1905 in Paris. Today, their sterling silver jewelry made in France is still manufactured in their workshop in the heart of the Marais. Since 1965, the company has been woman-owned: first with the original goldsmith's daughter, and then in 2004 long-time employee Chantal Mathieu took over.
