Butterfly Wing Jewelry

Yolanda Ormachea crafts her unique and colorful jewelry from butterfly wings collected from the Peruvian Amazon, once the butterflies have completed their life cycle. The wings are coated in resin and set in sterling silver to create a long-lasting and waterproof piece. Yolanda learned her craft from her grandmother. “I felt her presence and understood her message about the cycle of rebirth, passion, freedom, life and love.”
