Ceci N'est Pas Une Pipe.

  • Jacquard woven with 100% cotton.
  • Handmade in France.
  • Size:  24" x 31"

Born in 1878, family-owned Tissage Moutet has been weaving household linen for over 100 years. Their jacquard woven linen with complex and colorful patterns is used by designers, international museums, and starred chefs. The labels Atelier d’Art de France (French professional fine craft federation) and Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) indicate and commend the quality work of Moutet for 5 generations. Designed and manufactured in Orthez, in French Basque.

Care Instructions:
- Machine washable! Run the first wash with warm cycle and subsequent washes with hot cycle. These products use natural fibres and may shrink naturally by 5 to 10% after the first wash.
- Avoid detergents that contain optical brighteners, as they can seriously alter colors. We advise to use detergents made with natural Marseille soap without any additives.
- Use fabric softeners in moderation; especially avoid using for tea towels, as they reduce the absorbency of textiles. Instead, consider putting a “shot” of white vinegar in the fabric softener tray; it’s good for the linen and environmentally friendly.
