His work was featured in a 2016 ledger art exhibit at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian, on the cover of the NMAI's Spring 2016 Magazine, and the Protest Art exhibit at Yale University in 2021. Joe was co-founder of the Pine Ridge Art Center, now Seven Council Fires Native Art.
