Perched between 930 to 980 ft elevation on the eastern flanks of the Alexander Valley range, this two acre vineyard is planted facing south east with four different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon. Benefiting from an abundant water source and healthy soil, the 1,020 planted vines are thriving surrounded by sunflowers, fruit trees and the quiet majestic Mayacamas mountains.

For the label, true to our single vineyard artist series, Claire reached out to Hopi Master Carver Mavasta Honyouti, from Third Mesa. Inspired by the beauty and energy of the place, this label captures the celestial elements and natural beauty of the fauna and flora of this terroir.

Tasting Notes

Deep inky color with purple hues. Fragrant and refined, this first vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of fresh red and blue berries, violet and tobacco leaf. Full bodied and structured, the youthfully tense palate reveals ripe cherries, pomegranate and dark chocolate. Robust, fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity provide structure and energy. Starry Sky has great aging potential.
