The double rider represents a protective society called Brave Dog Society or Crazy Dog Society. The front rider is a representation of Running Eagle woman warrior born in the late 1700s. The male figure is Yellow Elk. Designs on the horse represent spiritual protection. The triangles at the top, are the mountains (the backbone of the universe). The door inside the triangle is a star and the green symbols are the rolling hills also with stars inside them.

This piece is drawn on top of an 1894 ledger document with  Terrance's signature collage style components adding a wholly unique touch.  The leading institutions in the Native art community consistently acknowledge Terrance’s innovative incorporation of authentic Blackfeet images into his own contemporary form of ledger art.
