The leading institutions in the Native art community consistently acknowledge Terrance’s innovative incorporation of authentic Blackfeet images into his own contemporary form of ledger art.
Running Eagle was a female leader and warrior amongst his tribe, the only woman to ever join the male warriors in battle living in the 18th century. Gaining her power from the sun, Terrance depicts her in many of his ledger pieces with unique symbolism in each.
